The Perfect Mother's Day Gift

Here's a local product that's sure to delight your mom this Mother's Day: Soap on a Whim from Mathair Earth! Mathair (pronounced 'Maw-hair') is the word for 'Mother' in Gaelic, and that word certainly reflects the care, nurture, and love put into each of these incredible soaps. 

This small enterprise started in 2009, when locals Cecelia, Maritta, & Mariah decided to start making wholesome skincare products that nourish the body without negatively affecting the environment. Their products are always 100% cruelty free, and formulated with essential oils, clays, milks, and other natural ingredients. They seek out fragrance oils that are pthalate and paraben free, and never use heavy detergents or salts in their soaps.

Each batch of soap delivered to the Co-op is made by hand to order, and they're never quite wrapped the same, because they source paper from all over to keep things looking fresh.
