Andrew Campbell - Board President

I was born and raised in Eagle River, Alaska. I attended school in Oregon, where I discovered the love of Co-ops and what they could bring to a community. After that I was hooked; food that is grown with care and love should be enjoyed by all. Over the last nine years that I have lived in Boise, I've told almost everyone that I've come in contact with how much I love the Boise Co-op and what they offer. If I find myself in the check-out line with a non-member of the Co-op it's not too surprising for me to tell them all the benefits of membership. Beyond spending time with my family and friends, I enjoy skiing, basketball, working out, and the Boise Co-op!

Rob Anderson - Vice President

Robert has lived in Boise since 1977 and has been a member of the Co-op since 1978. Rob is a founding partner in the Boise law firm Anderson, Julian & Hull LLP. He specializes in civil litigation and construction law. He has been a member of the Design Review Board for the City of Boise and is a charter member of the City Club. He also has served on the Board of Directors for Idaho Attorneys Against Hunger and Idaho Partners for Justice.

Kevin Myers - Treasurer

Married to Lisa since 1989 with three adult daughters and one granddaughter. Flight test engineer at Boeing Commercial for five years after earning a BS in engineering. Co-founded and owned Flying M Coffeehouse in Boise from 1992-2011, and Flying M Coffegarage in Nampa from 2006-2020. Served for six years on Nampa Planning and Zoning Commission.

Serena Buchert

With the exception of the four years I spent at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), I have lived in Idaho my entire life. As a stay at home mama of two, caring for our family has taken on a new meaning for me that requires real, holistic, and organic foods and products. The Boise Co-op has provided our family with the goods and services we need while also allowing us the opportunity to support our community, local farmers, and vendors. Further, our family owns and operates a handful of small businesses in the Treasure Valley which deepens my desire to support small business. In my spare time I enjoy golf, quilting, cooking, backpacking, and white water rafting. I am an asset to the Board because I have a deeply rooted love for the Boise community and a passion for wholesome and natural goods. I hope to share that passion with others while continuing to grow my own. Additionally, I have a unique set of creative and analytical skills that will be a valuable asset to the Board.

Jay Henry

I grew up on a small, family run farm in Wisconsin.  It was there that I learned that the way we care for the land, animals and our neighbors directly affects our community and throughout my time in different places I have tried to be a part of organizations that shared these same values. When my wife Krista and I moved to Boise in 2006 and found the Co-op right in our neighborhood we were so happy to have a place that was committed to connecting consumers and farmers that becoming a member was the easiest decision we ever had to make.  Being a part of and supporting an organization that shares our passion for creating strong relationships with local farmers and producers and watching those relationships evolve and grow has been very gratifying. 

I’ve been a hospitality professional for nearly 30 years and have developed and opened many different styles of restaurants and being connected to local purveyors played a huge role in the success of these places.  My connection to the Boise community was strengthened during my time as one of the founders of the restaurant State & Lemp where we were deeply focused on highlighting the food, wine and beer grown and produced in Idaho.

Tana Ruud

Boise has been my family’s hometown since I was a child, and I’ve had the great pleasure of serving on the Co-op’s Board of Directors these past 2.5 years. I’ve truly enjoyed making connections with our dedicated employees, with our vital members, and representing our Boise Co-op.

Working in advertising for a large retailer, in marketing for Idaho non-profits, and owning a successful photography business for the last 15 years has helped me feel a sense of closeness with the community. With my small business, I know the importance of local and I’ve learned how to evolve and thrive despite the changes that face me. I enjoy being involved in the community, and being a familiar face at Co-op events and representing the Board

Having been raised by wheat farmers and cattle ranchers, a father who was president of his city’s community garden - the Co-op has a sense of home to me, and I feel most connected to my roots when supporting local agriculture.  I value living in an area that embraces the quality of life offered here in the Treasure Valley, and I believe in the mission of the Co-op, encouraging others to embrace their vision of a local and health-conscious lifestyle.

Charles Raymond

Charles is a long time Boise resident and a Boise High School graduate with deep roots in the community. In 1975, when the Co-op was located in Hyde Park, he volunteered forty hours a week for six months before becoming the Co-op’s second full time employee. As a Co-Manager of the Co-op he championed and developed the innovative and organic product selection that has become the standard today. In the early eighties he served on the Co-op Board, both as Vice-President and then President. This was when the store was located on Hill Road. From 2015 through 2017 he served as the Co-op Board Administrative Assistant. During that time he attended the Consumer Cooperative Management Association’s yearly event and returned with the desire to create better communication between the Board, employees, and the Membership.

As someone who frequents the North End Store, he is recognized by most of the employees. This is because he engages them and recognizes that they are the most important asset of the Co-op.

Greg Janos

Gregory has been a member and supporter of a Co-op since 1968 first as a college student in Berkeley, California and again as a family member in three other communities most recently in Boise. For six of the past eleven years, Gregory served as the Executive Medical Director of St. Luke's Children's and serving on numerous community, state and national boards and committees. Over the past 11 years of living in Boise, he like many others has seen the Boise and Meridian Co-op stores grow and evolve finding new and improved ways to serve its members and the community. He is very optimistic that the Co-op will continue its evolution, grow in membership and continue to serve as a community leader during this time of recovery from the pandemic.

Sam Herrera

My intention is to bring a new and fresh take on nourishing our community while fostering the layers of relationships that exist within the grocery business. With 10 years experience in career grocery and 6 years of experience in owning and operating a consumer-packaged goods company, I have a unique view from both sides. I can help to bridge the gap between producer and retailer while holding the best interest of the community and company at the forefront. I would love to see the board focusing on the relationships with vendors to build stronger ties that are mutually beneficial, as well as continue to increase employee happiness and retention. Our employees are our first line, when they are happy and thriving a company is happy and thriving. It is an honor to sit on this board and help support a foundational part of this community that I care so deeply about.
