Pumpkin Spice Scones

Fall flavors are in full swing! These homemade pumpkin spice scones are the perfect way to kick off cozy mornings.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all purpose flour

  • ⅓ cup brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

  • ½ cup butter

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup pumpkin puree

  • 3 tablespoons milk

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    Glaze:

  • ¼ cup butter

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ⅓ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk

  • ½ cup sifted powdered sugar

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet. In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, sugar, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice.

Add cubed butter and massage with your hands until combined.

In another bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, egg, milk, and vanilla extract.

Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix to form a dough. Knead the dough, roll it out, and cut it into triangles.

Place the scones on the baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.

For the glaze, melt all ingredients except powdered sugar in a saucepan, then remove from the heat and whisk in the powdered sugar. Pour the warm glaze over the scones.
