Inspire: Home Remedies for Winter Troubles

The flu season may be in full swing, but why succumb to that miserable week in bed? We’ve got a couple of liquid tricks to share. 

Elderberry-Ginger Duo ~ we love the virus kicking benefits of elderberry. Have you tried it with a boost of ginger? These two pair up to send a bunch of ugly bugs packing. 

  • A mug of hot water

  • 1 Tbs. elderberry syrup

  • 1 dropper full ginger tincture or 1 inch grated 

Bundle up and sip multiple cups throughout the day

Mustard Bath ~ warm and detoxifying, a classic British remedy for what ails ya. Soak for 20-30 minutes, drink lemon water. Wrap up, rest, and sweat it out. 

  • 1 cup mustard powder (find in bulk spices, or Dr. Singha’s Mustard Bath in the Wellness department)

  • 1 cup Epsom salt

  • 1 cup baking soda  

  • 10 drops lavender essential oil (optional)
