Cheese Stuffed Pizza Rolls
Touchdown-Worthy Cheese Stuffed Pizza Rolls! These football-shaped bites are the perfect game day snack for Super Bowl Sunday!
Ingredients:
For the salad:
1 lb pizza dough store-bought or homemade
4-5 strips of bacon, cooked and finely chopped
6 mozzarella sticks, cut into 30 cubes
2 tablespoons butter melted
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese finely grated, more if desired
1 tablespoon fresh basil finely chopped
1 egg for egg wash
Everything but the bagel seasoning to sprinkle on top, to taste
Pizza sauce or marinara sauce, for serving
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, lightly spraying it with oil or butter.
2. Divide the pizza dough into 30 balls, each about 2 inches wide. Wrap each piece of cheese with a dough ball, sealing the ends, and arrange them on the baking sheet, forming a football shape.
3. Whisk together 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of water; brush the mixture over the dough balls. Sprinkle with “everything but the bagel” seasoning.
4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
5. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and brush it over the rolls. Top with chopped bacon, grated Parmesan, and fresh basil.
6. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
