Need A Last Minute Valentine's Day Treat? Look No Further Than Your Heart's Desire

Chocolates and roses are nice and all, but if you really want to knock the socks off your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day, get them an exquisite cheese.  

Even better, a heart-shaped exquisite cheese.  

Specifically, Cowgirl Creamery Heart’s Desire: A limited-edition, organic hunk of triple cream heaven. 

This gorgeous cheese features a bloomy, edible rind that encases a dense, fudgy core with flavor notes ranging from crème fraiche and cultured butter to fresh grass and white mushrooms. It pairs perfectly with sparkling rosé, Moscato, and port. Beer enthusiasts will want to sip along with a chocolate stout or barrel-aged sour. We’re really excited about serving it with Frambois lambic ale because we’re fancy like that.  

If you’d rather avoid the buzz, you should know that Heart’s Desire is also amazing when paired with a Chocolate Malted Milkshake or cup of sweet Horchata.  

With its pretty white rind and Valentine-y shape, we’ll be placing this cheese at the center of a snack board, drizzled with raspberry preserves and surrounded by squares of dark chocolate, toasted hazelnuts, and shortbread cookies.  

That said, you can also take it in a savory direction by serving it with smoked almonds, cornichons, crusty bread, and tapenade. Oh, and this may sound wacky, but it’s really good with salty potato chips.
