Solar panels are coming!

We are proud to announce that we will be installing 124 solar panels on the roof of the main store!

This will be the largest solar panel system in the North End. The total system is 34.1kw, which produces enough energy to power five neighborhood homes. What a cool way to benefit both Boise Co-op and the community!

We'd like to thank our co-owners for making this possible. You've asked us to consider alternative energy practices, and we are happy to oblige. The project is funded from the retained portion of last year's patronage dividends.  

Beginning today, you'll see men scurrying about the rooftops. We will be documenting progress, so stay tuned for more info.
