My all time favorite Sancerre just came back in stock so I had to try a bottle. The Vacheron is not your everyday Sauvignon Blanc, but it is worth the $$$ when you want the real thing. The fruit is true Sauvignon with a hint of grass, lime and citrus, but not the overt grapefruit flavors you so often see from New Zealand. This is much more about the balance of minerality and flintiness with the fruit. Elegant and long, fix a pasta dish with shellfish and enjoy the magic.
