The holidays are over! Want to know how I know? I just checked my bank account—that's right, I'm almost broke. I still like to have a glass of wine or two after work to wind down, but I need a good wine at the right price. Luckily for me, we have a bunch of this 2013 Cabernet on the shelf. This inexpensive gem comes from Clayhouse's sustainably farmed Red Cedar Vineyard on the east side of Paso Robles, California. The wine is a blend of 87 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 11 percent Petit Verdot, and 2 percent Malbec. It's a nicely balanced effort, with cherry and plum fruit framed in vanilla and a little bit of spice. The finely grained tannins make this wine very approachable right now. It's a great value, and a great daily drinker!
