Nearly one-third of all U.S. waste is made up from discarded containers and packaging materials – and the majority of this comes from our weekly (or daily) grocery shopping trips!
A large portion of this material can be recycled or recovered - but much of it is not.
The Boise Co-op has teamed up with the founders of the Zero Waste Boise Institute and RecyclePak Boise to help Treasure Valley shoppers reduce their grocery footprint, one purchase at a time.
Join us for a very special Earth Day tour of the Co-op’s North End location. It’s your original Boise Co-op – through very green glasses!
Explore topics to include package-less shopping, bulk goods, local options for packaging and container recycling and recovery, shopping to prevent food waste, and more!
In the spirit of low-impact shopping, enjoy a 20% discount on Co-op bulk goods all weekend.
