For the month of February, we'll be featuring wines from a different winery each week. First up it's Idaho's own Sawtooth. Founded in 1987 by the Pintler family, it was one of the first in the modern era of Idaho winemaking. With 470 acres of estate vineyards, it is also one of the largest, though a portion of the grapes are sold to other wineries. Current winemaker Meredith Smith is certified in viticulture as well, so she's also instrumental in overseeing the vineyards. Here's what we'll be pouring:
- Classic Fly Series Chardonnay
- Trout Trilogy Petite Sirah
- Classic Fly Series Tempranillo
- Trout Trilogy Syrah
February 2 is the Co-op's big First Friday Sale, but all four wines will be 15% off both days of the tasting.
