Have you considered buying a pour over coffee brewing method but don’t know where to start? Have you already purchased one but aren’t sure how to use it? Do you just love coffee and want to come talk about it with someone that loves to talk about coffee?
Come with questions, come with knowledge, and come ready to get a little caffeine buzz! Let Nicole Ferguson with Dawson Taylor Coffee Roasters show you some simple steps and tools to make the pour over less daunting. She will be offering tutorials on Kalita Wave, Chemex, Hario V60, Aeropress, and standard French Press. Nicole will also share a little back story to why we drink coffee the way we do and shed light on how region and roast effect the flavor of your cup.
In Nicole's words:
"I began working with coffee about 11 years ago, but only after I moved to Portland in 2010 did I have my first 3rd Wave coffee job experience. I was immersed in a sea of information and possibilities: fancy equipment, gourmet beans, and competitive baristas. I learned so much over a few years that I decided to take a step back and move my focus to a more down-to-earth practice that has to do with the quality of beans and the human consuming the cup of coffee than scientifically precise extraction ratio or fancy, expensive equipment.
When I moved to Boise in 2013 I was drawn to Dawson Taylor’s business model because they share those values and are fully staffed by some curious and excited people. I’m all about local, I’m all about curiosity, and I am SO about a good cup of coffee."
This workshop is complimentary but please let us know if you are planning to attend.
All attendees will receive a coupon worth $1.50 off 1 Dawson Taylor 12 oz retail bag.
