Join us for this hands on class and learn the ins and outs of making sushi. The Boise Co-op's Scott Clapsadle will show you how to make the perfect rice, demonstrate preparation techniques and lead you in a step-by-step assembly of Maki-sushi, Nigiri-sushi and Sashimi. This class will also include an introduction to Sake and Japanese beer.
Plus your own bamboo rolling mat and chopsticks to take home!
Scott first began rolling sushi in 1988 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming at the Lame Duck Restaurant. He worked there, learning as much as he could about Asian cuisine and sushi until returning to Boise in 2000. After a six month stint in Ireland, Scott opened his own sushi catering business and began supplying the Boise Co-op in 2001. In the fall of 2007, he became the head chef of a local sushi restaurant and helped it get on it's feet for the first two years. In 2010, Scott became a full time employee of the Boise Co-op and are we glad he did!
