We just got in a couple of wines that we’re really excited about. Both 2016, a very good vintage for both regions. Come in and pick up a couple.
2016 Clos Du Caillou Cotes Du Rhone, $25.00
90% Grenache 10% Syrah, Mourvèdre and Counoise, This wine has an attractive red velvet color on ruby reflections. The nose expresses aromas of liqueur of red fruits, strawberry and wild raspberry. The mouth is smooth with notes of strawberry compote dominated by wild black plums and ripe cherry followed by a wonderful mouthfeel.
2016 Paul Pernot Bourgogne Blanc, $30.00
If you want that elegance, refinement and purity of Puligny fruit without the village price tag, this is a must. Clean, melon and citrus fruit with snappy young acidity and a touch of softening oak round out this lovely little wine. It’s stylistically very pure and expressive of Puligny fruit.
